Meditation is incredibly good for the mind and soul, I've found. You needn't be ''religious'' or following any particular direction of faith at all, to incorporate it into your life. I love Indian meditations specifically, and have found them soothing and profound for the purging of negative thoughts that sometimes pile up as the day wears on.

It puts me into a clear and calm state that I appreciate. It may (or may not) have physiological effects as well. I used to suffer from high blood pressure but don't any more. (I wasn't taking any medication either.) I don't really have a whole lot of religious or metaphysical beliefs associated with doing it. But I think that it's a valuable and positive practice, if only for its subjective effects.. |
