Meditation

Meditation is incredibly good for the mind and soul, I've found. You needn't be ''religious'' or following any particular direction of faith at all, to incorporate it into your life. I love Indian meditations specifically, and have found them soothing and profound for the purging of negative thoughts that sometimes pile up as the day wears on.

I do simple breathing meditation.

It puts me into a clear and calm state that I appreciate.

It may (or may not) have physiological effects as well. I used to suffer from high blood pressure but don't any more. (I wasn't taking any medication either.)

I don't really have a whole lot of religious or metaphysical beliefs associated with doing it.

But I think that it's a valuable and positive practice, if only for its subjective effects..
