Funny how a Mediterranean language can make "hunter style" sound more exalted than the "roughing it" origins which might be suggested.

I think that eating should be enjoyable. Yes there are many fine dishes out there, many prepared and cooked to the delight of the consumer. However, some carry with them a certain degree of, should I say, torture. I've prepared for you the worst:
Zin's Scale of Dietary Displeasure 1. Alive .... if it's still moving and you can handle it then be my guest 2. Raw ..... When it just stopped moving there's no need to kill it even further 3. Spicy.... Why would you eat something that turns your mouth into a furnace? 4. Burned.. Why eat something unrecognizable? 5. Cold...... If you take the trouble to cook it then eat while it's still warm 6. Salty .... I guess forcing you to drink more beer isn't all bad 7. Tasteless .... Need I say more about less? 8. Sloppy.. Do I really need 100 napkins to eat something? 9. Messy.... Before it gets to downright sloppy, only 10-12 napkins required (chicken cacciatore?) 10. Hard.... Broken teeth-not good Honorable mention: sticky, soft, oversized, moldy, unknown, allergy, uncooked

I'll add tough as leather, smells awful and poisonous to the list.
Why on Earth would anyone eat fugu? |
