Another haiku (by me)
*This was inspired by Halloween last year.
Translucent ghostlight
Alone and shaking, she screams
but, no one can hear
I recall seeing another thread to post our own creations of art, poetry, etc...but can't seem to locate it tonight.

I like these too, Z. Keeping with the science theme.
Haikus and sonnets are my fave genres of poetry to compose, but the narrative prose is my preference to read.

Thanks. Going try a 3 word haiku one of these days. Are they allowed?
Seem to recall a haiku thread on another forum that actually became quite popular with many contributors. Can’t remember what forum it was however

Found beginner’s rule book for Haiku. 5-7-5 most popular syllable count but not always necessary. If you’re looking for Haiku contributions then perhaps it would be wise to specify one way or another. Rules explain why less can be used and whether that’s beyond we amateurs is debatable.

Also searched internet to see if ism is 1 or 2 syllables and unfortunately it’s a mixed bag of opinions. So that may also need to be specified…idk.
Here’s one, 5-7-5 using 3 words and one with a two syllable ism…lol.

Multiculturalism
Assimilation

Elegant and moving! Especially with Ralph Vaughn Williams' "The Lark Ascending" as background music.
