I want to turn it off but I like it because it helps with the difficult to spell words. Trouble is you forget about it and if in a hurry you may end up typing something totally illegible for the intended reader. One simple text could require an extra text just to correct the previous text. Wonder how many of those are typed in one day and the carbon footprint associated with it? Always a chance of accidental insults too. Does it really help people spell correctly?
How can anyone rely on it if they’re putting a legal document together? Should I use Spellcheck after every message I type, who does that? Quicker to send a correction text or note.
Must be having some effect on people’s ability to spell. Is there concern amongst educators or is it the evolution of language? Remarkable that we can actually decipher the misspelled words most of the time. Had to correct some words as I typed this…lol
