VIDEO EXCERPTS: ... Larry, does either side have momentum? Kevin says the Democrats do.

>> I guess maybe the Democrats have a modicum of it, but I mean because these polls are tightening where Democrats have been in the lead, especially in these Senate races, I think by definition that means Republicans are are showing up more, looking better right now.

So they've got a little bit of wind at their back to tighten those races up. There are so many toss-ups. But honestly, I'm not hearing panic; I'm hearing concern and worry, which is very different. And as a Republican, I can tell you they're always concerned and worried.

The last time I covered an election and it was my first one actually doing a job like this, where Republicans were actually confident thinking that they were going to do great, was 2010. Since then, every time they've been concerned and worried.

>> I totally agree. It's concern and worry. Not panic. But there is a lot of concern. I mentioned four states yesterday where I heard I'm hearing concern from Republicans...

[...] Here's Charlie Cook on where he thinks things stand. He says basically, I won't read the whole thing, but basically what Charlie says is in order for Republicans and Democrats to take the Senate and more than 15 House seats, a lot of Republicans have to vote Democratic. And in the times we live in, that just doesn't happen very often.

Now, some of them could sit out, and some of them could vote third party, but mathematically, some number of Republicans are going to have to say, "Hey, I'm voting for the Democrat this time." And that's just very uncommon. So, while people are concerned and races are close, Charlie says it would be a unicorn in this election. A blue wave requires a unicorn...

>> Well, and that's partly why I've been so resistant to the narrative, number one. Number two, it's not just convincing a Republican to vote for a Democrat, it's convincing a Texas Republican to vote for James Talarico...
