President Trump just said that while broadcasting Nidal Hasan's execution might have valuable deterrent effect, that enough "very good and well meaning people" have indicated that they don't think that it's appropriate to convince him not to show it.

So he's ordered that it not be streamed.

The execution will still take place though.

Not that this whole thing was strategically engineered or staged from the start. But this "stepping into the arena" to halt the release of the lions could have the effect of making Trump look like he's becoming less juvenile and more conscientious and asserting a firm, mature hand on a sensationalist or carnival-like staff. All for naught, though. He should have been listening to the advice of "very good and well-meaning people" long before the threshold of the midterms.
