Christmas Island - World Famous Resort Island for Crabs

I've been watching the recovery of Starship 40 from Australia's Christmas Island. But the island is already famous for its natural oddities.

About 2/3'ds of the island is an Australian national park, covered with tropical rain forest. People say that it reminds them of Isla Nubar, the fictional island in Jurassic park, except no dinosaurs.

But what Christmas Island is lacking in dinosaurs, it makes up for in crabs.

The island only has about 1,700 human residents, but is the world's biggest tropical resort for horny crabs looking to get laid. Literally millions of crabs vacation there every year in the crab version of Las Vegas.
