I saw this trailer today:

It seems that Hollywood is growing more sophisticated in their creation of horror flicks. This trailer accurately presents the spirit realm as requiring a 6th sense (something I'm all too familiar with).

These movies aim to inform the masses on the nature of the supernatural. They are not just for entertainment purposes. When the producer realistically portrays entities from higher dimensions it is for more than simply entertainment. It resonates with the feelings and sensibilities of even the most ignorant of atheists and exposes them to the bright light of metaphysics. Scientists are now shifting towards a metaphysical understanding. As pioneered by both Langan and myself. They are a window to the beyond (or in this case, the "Further"). These movies elicit not only fear but curiosity. That is why they draw the masses to the theatres. They challenge us to confront our worst fears. And thereby challenge us to confront not only the demons within, but the demons without.
