I love the look of this! But as with the FX Alien series I'm wary of them slapping Scott's name on every new series that promises sequel status to one of his films. Will it stand the scrutiny of the loyal BR fanbase? We shall see..

Has to finally be set in something like 2099 since 1982 Bladerunner was set in the now wildly retro-future erroneous year of 2019. The franchise may also be incrementally losing the film noir appeal of the original, although that was arguably never part of PDK's novel, anyway (or kind of depends on how one is personally visualizing what one is reading).

Considering how Alien:Earth turned out, also co-produced by Ridley Scott, I'm not optimistic.
