Here are two excellent short films, kind of like documentaries of future history. These two dive deep into the 'generation starship' theme.
The first one in particular takes a psychological and sociological look at how a civilization confined to an O'Neil cylinder for 700 years (equivalent to now back to medieval times) might change... Dramatically.
