Black & gay people are done with leftist activism.

Well, a few. But marginalized population groups are the bread and butter of collectivist politics, since it lost or alienated most of the proletariat. Leftangelicalism isn't going to lose the majority of the congregation.

Corporations aren't pandering as much to minorities and queer people, even though I hate that word, and I can see why. Performative activism is not only making people look dumb. It's actively hurting those who they claim to be fighting for. The allyship industrial complex is collapsing under the weight of its own hypocrisy, grift lies, and weaponized victimhood.

Many people surely realize it's phoney and opportunistic when big business and politicians are riding the moral signaling bandwagon. Before the 1960s it would have instead been commercialized patronization of flag, church, family, mom and apple pie. But it runs all the way through the establishment from entertainment celebrities to academicians to journalists, who are looking for ways to either enhance or maintain their career images, and get themselves spotlight attention.

Being intensely aware of who the enemy was, the collectivists of old would never allow capitalism to exploit and assimilate their militant offspring. But Neo-Marxism can't even apprehend the shame of selling its movements out to all those multiple echelons of consumerism. Marginalized population groups had become marketing brands for progressive moguls and vocation acrobats to shill for and derive sainthood assets from in the process. Maybe businesses have drifted away somewhat during the Trump administration, but they still hold informal vending rights for when the waters become favorable again.
