The Unitarian Universalist church I visited mostly just read poets, like Walt Whitman... which is at least spiritual.

If the one I visited had done that, I might have gone back.

While I was open to it at the time, my impression was that it was a group of people without any guiding principles who liked to meet and sound intellectual to each other.
