Wasn’t a generation of Americans getting shot at and wiped out in first couple of years of WWI & II. Do people of Europe and those involved still remember?

Absolutely we remember..It is often referenced.
That is not to say we attach too much blame necessarily. It is even said that dark schemes may have been involved to get USA involved. (even the American President was wary of the pro German sentiment at the  time and had to tread carefully)

In war all can be seen (rightly) as fair.

Do you think ‘dark schemes’ were employed to entice US into attacking Iran? If so, any idea of what may have transpired to make it happen?
I have not read anything along those lines. Was it in Russia's interest?

I think it was, so maybe they could have furnished him with false intelligence.

I am not sure  the Gulf States  wanted him to attack so,if so   they were unable to dissuade him.

However the most obvious candidate for misleading information  so as to encourage the attack seems to have been the gathering  of Iran's leaders in the one place where they were  nearly all taken out at one fell swoop.

Clearly genuine -and transparent.(even if counterproductive-and distasteful-  in hindsight if it does not result in  a revolution  in Iran)

That meeting did seem odd. You would think that if that was a deliberate setup then we might have heard of an attempted coup by now.

Speaking of remembering I'm old enough to recall the people of Iran celebrating the Shah removal. I guess that's been forgotten.

What could possibly go wrong?
The globalists could lose their hold on power and the peoples of many nations could reassert self-rule.

Sounds like you're rooting for Iran.

Quote:One silver lining is that  an abject and transparent  failure of policy may  bring about the emasculation of this regime in America and a final  appreciation that ,at the very least in their own country civility and decency are to be prized over acrimonious scapegoating of supposedly inferior and parasitical "others"
Hoping the US loses makes you an enemy of America... and maybe a supporter of terrorists and authoritarians.
