I would never have predicted it. I expected a Canadian blowout, given their absolute all-star team. I just hoped the Americans could keep it close and avoid being humiliated out there.

Then the Americans won! Another Miracle on Ice!

How did the Americans win? Here's video of the game. (Democrats will dismiss it as fake-news... but check this out!)

Here's an even more actual, actual video, of FBI Director Kash Patel celebrating with the US hockey team in their locker room (oops, "dressing room") wearing their team jersey (oops, "sweater"). The democrats don't call this one fake-news, but it's made them mad as hell, anyway.

Canadians are bummed about it but not losing sleep. I remember the Miracle on Ice when US beat Red Army (Russia) 1980. That was way more dramatic and meant more. Personally I don’t care, was a good game and kudos to US hockey development.

Hey Z-man - No disrespect is meant towards Canada. The fact that the US is so excited by this win is testament to the respect that Americans have for Canadian hockey. We perceive you guys as the hockey gold standard in every way, and rising to that level, if just fleetingly, is a dream for every hockey fan here. It's about facing the best and emerging victorious.

No disrespect felt here. It’s like there’s a limit in every sport as to how high a level of play one can reach before others start gaining on you. I remember it being such a shock when Russian Red Army began to dominate hockey. That’s another thing, the Russians weren’t in this Olympics.

I’m sure Americans are feeling same way when it comes to baseball. Cuba and Japan are no pushovers and are regularly supplying MLB with some of the best players in the world. Golf, same thing.
