Ongoing Canada-US Sovereignty Battle

Now in its 243rd year. Since 1783 a dispute between the two countries regarding two islands. Mathias Seal Island and North Rock, about 20 acres or so but plunked right in a serious fishing zone. Both countries lay claim, both have collaborated on protecting wildlife, Canada built a lighthouse but there are issues when it comes to fishing rights. Apparently is, might be or once was a spot for illegal immigrants to drop anchor.

Actually saw Trump’s name on this declassified document. The squabble continues. No warships yet but probably a few trawlers and lobster boats.
