Here in California, property taxes and homeowner's insurance are murderous. So Kamala should be paying a king's ransom every year for her beachfront palace. That is, if she doesn't receive some kind of celebrity discount (which wouldn't surprise me, she's obviously connected).
What I want to know is how she became wealthy enough to afford a Malibu beachfront mansion. She's held nothing but government jobs as far as I know.

Wow..MAGA now researching how Kamala could afford her home. There's literally no level of pettiness they won't sink to defame past candidates. Like anyone cares.

Who's regulating anybody? You're the only one trying to dictate how Kamala lives her life. Why? Is she not a free agent?
Ahem:

Again, who is she regulating? Any specifics, or just vague policy positions on high carbon industries from decades ago?

I think their combined net worth was about 8 million, but she received a book advancement of roughly 20 million.
Under Prop. 19, they may be able to transfer their old (lower) tax basis to the new home.
Hmm…I wonder if I could sell my expensive home, buy a cheaper one (lower tax basis), and then sell that cheaper one, and transfer that lower tax basis to a more expensive one.

Her husband is also a wealthy lawyer who represents the entertainment industry. They've made money in the past from real estate maneuvering (not just this recent purchase) -- by buying select property that was destined to balloon in value, and selling it at opportune times.
Kamala has multiple pensions coming in from the various government offices she has held. Her interviews, recent book and prior publications, bring in profits. It helped sales greatly to put items in the book that irritated and angered the democrats mentioned in it.
'It's Embarrassing': Democrats Turn on Kamala Harris Over 'Unhelpful and Divisive' New Book
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/...r-AA1NjayQ
EXCERPTS: Former Vice President Kamala Harris’s narrative of her losing presidential campaign, in which she emerges blameless -- unlike just about everyone else -- is reopening wounds Democrats wanted to heal.
“In an era where Democrats need all hands on deck in the fight to protect the country and the constitution from the lawlessness of the Trump administration, she had a real opportunity to be a critical voice in the resistance,” Michael Hardaway, a Democratic strategist who served as a senior adviser to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, said, according to Politico.
“This book seems to be unhelpful and divisive in a way that makes it hard for her to be the face of the party as we look to the future,” he said.
[....] “If there’s a political strategy here, it’s a bad one. There’s an awful lot of grievances and finger-pointing that really doesn’t serve a political agenda,” David Axelrod, an adviser to former President Barack Obama, said, according to Politico.
“When you write a book like this, it’s intentional,” said Pete Giangreco, a Democratic consultant. “The question is about intent now. Is she settling scores because she’s not running again, or is this her catharsis to assign blame somewhere else so she can say, ‘Give me another chance’?”
"Harris’ recent media tour to tout her memoir -- “107 Days” -- has reminded me of something I think I have long known: She is simply not a very good politician. And she hasn’t gotten much better over her decades in the business," CNN's Chris Cillizza posted online.
