Days and nights of pumping me full of antibiotics until they found the right one that killed the bacteria. Apparently this all started from the uti I had 4 weeks ago. They did some esophygeal examinations of my heart to rule out endocarditis. They finally let me go home today and I had no cellphone or phone numbers the whole time. So I'm still alive and kickin. Gee its swell to be free of a hospital bed!

Glad you're alright, MR. Had no idea it was a medical emergency, rather than a trip or something. Hope they vanquished it for good.

An in-law developed a blood infection a couple of years back from the diabetes medication he was taking at the time. Turned out it was one of those oodles of side effects listed on the papers that come with a prescription, but most users don't get. They switched him to a different compound, after determining the cause.

I have fallen in love with all nurses and doctors. The team that supported my stay were wonderfully motivating and helpful, awakening me to the fact of there being really good and smart people out there who are doing good for others ever day. I'm both humbled and honored by these heroic fighters of the every day battles.
