This is an interview between a pioneer of platonic space and an inquirer. It explores the possibility that the brain is an interface to a hidden reality.

I lay in bed at night watching the glowing and colorful patterns behind my closed eyelids. I call them my phosphene overlords. They can be easily supplicated to by even just the lightest wish on my part, like seeing a hand or a tunnel or a floating sea cucumber. But they also tend to want to morph in their own consistent shapes. One recurring one is a big eye, complete with lid and eyelashes, about 6 inches from the front of my face dead center. It happens over and over again. I am left pondering if I am seeing some mystical symbol of gnosis, the 3rd eye of Shiva, or if reality really is at root simply a 3D mirror we are gazing into. The poetic phrase "the many-eyed darkness of night" strangely comes to mind. I am but a curious novice standing before the vast and unexplored frontiers of the Mind.
