Trump eventually locked down Venezuelan airspace by the end of November.

The rocketry in question was supposedly Pantsir-S1 and Buk-M2E of which could fire various ballistics including the hypersonic missiles that Russia has been testing.

Pantsir's and Buk's are air defense missiles, widely used by the Russians in the Ukraine war. They are considered effective and have largely kept the Ukrainian air force from being a major factor in the ground fighting.

Quote:So one of those very big bangs in Venezuela was likely the rocketry going up in smoke.

Apparently the Americans went in with radar jammers that effectively blinded the missiles' control systems, then a good percentage of the air strikes were directed at destroying the air defense missile network. That freed up the air space so that helicopter borne special forces could be inserted. It's impressive how well all that succeeded.

Some of the more spectacular explosions recorded on video appear to have been missile batteries cooking off. And there are photographs of what appear to have been Buk TELs (transporter, erecter, launchers) burned out after the air strikes.

What may or may not have been a Pantsir TEL

'They don't even speak Spanish!' Venezuelans clash with pro-Maduro protestors outside courthouse
https://youtu.be/SBU3UMx6_R4

INTRO: The NYPD is putting distance between leftist American protesters who want to see Nicolás Maduro released, and Venezuelans and Cubans cheering the socialist dictator’s capture. About 30 protestors milled about waving signs reading “Free President Maduro” and “No War for Venezuela Oil” in front of the Brooklyn courthouse where Maduro and his wife, Flora, are making their first appearance before a federal judge on narco-terrorism, drug trafficking and other charges.

Typical leftist, taking their news from out of context clips on a comedy shop.

The U.S. captured Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega in 1989 through the invasion Operation Just Cause primarily to arrest him for drug trafficking and money laundering, as he was under federal indictment in Florida; other stated reasons included protecting American lives, defending democracy, and safeguarding the Panama Canal, following years of escalating tensions and Noriega's defiance of U.S. interests.
