I've always had a bit of this. I hated how I looked when I was younger. My head was too big. My nose too long. My arms too skinny. To this very day like Dracula I dodge mirrors and rarely allow photos of myself. Here's some famous people that have/had BDD..It may surprise you!

"We’re going to be talking about a much more serious topic, a topic that has plagued millions of people. It affects their mental health, their bodies, and how they perceive themselves in the world. Body dysmorphia is no joke, and it needs to be talked about more. Thanks to so many celebrities, it’s becoming much more discussed, and so many are seeking help for it.

For those that don’t know, or never knew the correct term for this phenomenon: Body dysmorphia disorder (BDD) is an obsessive anxiety disorder. It is the disorder where one obsesses over their physical image, more often their body image, and picks it apart. They can react with shame, depression, developing eating disorders, and isolation, per MayoClinic.

A 2016 study estimated that two percent of the general population suffers from body dysmorphia. There have been a lot of studies trying to find the difference between how many men and how many women suffer from BDD, with some saying men suffer from it more, and more saying women suffer from it more. However, it’s generally agreed upon that it’s a split issue, and BDD can affect anyone (even A-listers)!

From Megan Fox to Priyanka Chopra, Billie Eilish to Sam Smith, so many stars have opened up about this (and we love their vulnerability when discussing this important issue).

Check out which celebrities have opened up about body dysmorphia, and if you want resources, be sure to check out the ADAA’s list..."

In terms of vintage celebrities, the bad girl of film noir -- Gloria Grahame -- was arguably one. Akin to Michael Jackson finally devastating his nose, she had so many plastic surgeries on her face that she eventually paralyzed her upper lip. She also stuffed cotton under the latter, even during kissing scenes.

Niece Vicky Mitchum: "Over the years, she [Grahame] carved herself up, trying to make herself into an image of beauty she felt should exist but didn't. Others saw her as a beautiful person, but she never did, and crazy things spread from that."

Apparently, the insecurity can potentially lead to all kinds of celebrity misadventures. Grahame married her former stepson Tony in 1960 (he was 23, she was 37). The boy's father had once claimed that he divorced Grahame because he had caught them in bed together when Tony was only 13. But unsurprisingly, her (commissioned?) biographer later asserted that the incident was unfounded (he was an ex-lover himself).

At any rate, the number of men she attracted (of all ages) repeatedly belied the self-doubts she had about her looks.

I was always mystified by all the work that Michael Jackson had done on himself, seeing he was really alright from the beginning. Then one day I realized he had BDD, which totally explained it. He was horribly abused by his father as a kid..
