Trump orders drive targeting Democratic cities: US President Donald Trump directed federal authorities to ramp up deportation efforts in Democratic-led cities on Sunday, doubling down on a politicized anti-immigration drive after major protests in Los Angeles.
"We must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America's largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside," Trump said on his Truth Social platform.
"These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democrat Power Center," he claimed, citing debunked right-wing conspiracy theories that undocumented immigrants are voting in US elections in significant numbers. Trump has made deporting undocumented immigrants a key priority for his second term.

Trump halts immigration raids at farms, restaurants: President Donald Trump's administration has ordered immigration officials to largely pause raids targeting farms, hotels, restaurants and meatpacking plants, according to reports.
[...] Trump made a social media post Thursday where he said farms and hospitality businesses were concerned the administration's far-reaching immigration enforcement was taking away "very good, long time workers" and promising changes.
The Texas Restaurant Association thanked President Trump in a news statement for recognizing the important role of the restaurant industry in the U.S. economy.
"His decision to include restaurants and critical food production sites like dairies and meatpacking plants in the pause on certain enforcement actions, and to consider executive orders that support vetted immigrant labor in this essential industry, are both timely and impactful," the statement said.

VIDEO EXCERPT: Basically, he's gone from saying we're only deporting criminals. to saying we're deporting everybody, to saying we're deporting workers who've never committed crimes, to saying we're not going to deport people in hospitality and agriculture, to saying now -- in this long Truth Social post -- that we're going to deport people in Blue Places.
Because the Blue Places are letting these people in to facilitate the open borders, blue vision of America. I don't know he got transgender in there, I'm not sure how that affects this. But open borders and people voting illegally and taking federal money -- all the third world dystopia stuff, etc.
[...] this creates pressure on the left, gets the right revved up, and allows him to deport a lot of people without his donors and his friends having their businesses disrupted...
