Parody Alcove: The problem with a symbolic capitalist empire like Disney promoting positive discrimination in its films and shows -- for profit and public image purposes -- is that in the course of that, you get held to higher standards than entertainment studios that don't indulge in such so lavishly. Criteria which you cannot possibly satisfy (without conflict) due to all the competing self-interests of the marginalized population groups subsumed under the Woke banner.

Peter Dinklage was complaining at one time about the depiction of dwarves by Disney as prejudicial to little people. I guess he was for the avoidance altogether of fairy tales that include such characters. Kinda makes sense to me. But what next? No more hobbits or dwarves from Tolkien? No more misogynistic portrayals of witches as old crones either?
