Goodness, memory plays funny tricks. Didn't seem like NOVA's Decoding Nazi Secrets series was that long ago: broadcast back in 1999. I was actually pondering if this movie had been inspired by it (forget that). There were also a lot more scattered cryptanalysis projects going on with respect to the Enigma machines than I realized.
