INTRO: I do not get the raw milk craze in the USA because it is dangerous, and now it could contain bird flu. The best milk is pasteurized because it eliminates dangerous pathogens without changing the essential nature of the milk. But like the fads for organic and gluten-free foods, raw milk has fans in groups that overlap greatly with the anti-vaccine crowd. Of course.

I do not understand how millions of people have survived catching salmonella from drinking egg nog for all these years. Maybe the Christmas spirit kills all those germs. Or the nog..

Sometimes you have to wonder what would happen if the IQ of the average American suddenly dropped by (say) 10 points relative to the rest of the world. Could vaccination cause an effect like that?
