Elon's Religion

From yesterday's interview with Jordan Peterson:

"To deepen our understanding of the nature of the universe... One could, I guess, call it a religion. I wouldn't be upset about that.

But that is my religion, for lack of a better way to describe it.

It's the religion of curiosity, the religion of greater enlightenment.

And then, if you follow that, say that's the goal, then what falls out of that goal?

What falls out of that goal is to have consciousness expand in scale and scope. I use scale and scope, you want more consciousness, and I also think it's good to have varied consciousness, so everyone's not thinking exactly the same thing."

"Spinoza argued that whatever exists is in God. The divine being is not some distant force, but all around us. Nothing in nature is separate from Him: not people, animals or inanimate objects. Today, the view that God is synonymous with nature is called “pantheism,” and this term is often retrospectively applied to Spinoza. Whatever the label, the view was—and still is—portrayed as a denial of God’s transcendent power. Spinoza was accused of denying the ontological difference between God and His creations, thereby trivialising the creator."---
