Mass ufo sighting over Red Rocks CO

"A dozen employees at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre claim they saw a strange object light up the Colorado sky earlier this month, according to the National UFO Reporting Center.

The observers, who said they work for the Morrison, Colorado venue, described a dark metallic disk that appeared north of the amphitheater at around 1 a.m. on June 5, the center reported.

The object appeared to be several hundred feet long and hovered in place for 30 seconds before heading east at about 5-10 mph and vanishing, according to a report the center posted.

"One of our coworkers suddenly said to us, 'Hey, what is that over there? It looks like a spaceship.' We all turned to look in the direction he was pointing and sure enough, there was a UFO hovering," an observer in the report said. "We all kept asking each other, 'Are you seeing this too?'"

Craft appeared to have 'three levels of windows'

The amphitheater employee said the "large disc-shaped craft" appeared to have "three levels of windows," according to the report.

The worker said it seemed as large as a three story office building. While it remained completely silent throughout its appearance, the employee claimed that the object tipped at an angle and slowly headed east right when the group dedicated their full attention to it.

"Then it started fading away until it was invisible. It didn't shoot off into the distance. It simply dissolved into the ether. We all watched it vanish," the worker said in the report. "This was not a plane. It wasn't a satellite, a
drone, or anything like that. There was no mistaking what this was."---

Not saying it is one but Red Rocks and surrounding area a very popular spot for hot air balloons, including night time rides. Area ranked high by ballooning enthusiasts and there is an annual festival for the sport, including one this December.

While conducting this vital research the thought occurred to me that I’ve never heard of a UFO/UAP reported by a balloonist. Balloons as unidentified phenomena, yes, but I tried several ways to Google it and came up empty. Perhaps someone has heard of such a sighting and can fill us in. I would have thought at least one alien spaceship would have hovered next to a manned hot air balloon but when?

I'm ruling out hot air balloon because:

1) it was described as disc-shaped and metallic..

2) hot air balloons are very obvious. They are balloon-shaped, usually very colorful and light up when the fire goes off. Workers at that venue would also be well familiar with balloons in that area.

3) 1 am? I doubt balloon rides go on that late.

4) described as having 3 rows of windows..

5) just vanished!

Still can’t find any reports from a balloonist claiming to have had an alien encounter. Strange when just about anything that flies and carries humans has. Why would aliens in UFO ignore balloonists?

it was a month ago, least a dozen people but none recording. That’s rarer than a sighting. Not adding up. Nothing here.

I don’t think it wise to wait a month before going public. Does a reporting time lag taint any evidence? Why not tell right away? Also when they report the ufo vanished into the ether I have to raise an eyebrow or two, just doesn’t sound like something they all would say.

The National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) states that the date it was reported to them was June 5th. That's the same date it happened. So there was no delay in reporting it. They must've been pretty excited about it.

"Something" likely happened. But without any supporting evidence, there's no way to verify what happened.
