Well, why not? Everything else is
Sleep is Racist |
Shades of some future dystopian Nanny state, where citizens will be meticulously monitored in their daily lives to maximize their mental and physical health. Now THAT's something to lose sleep over!

Such also garners admiration from the administrative level of research and educational institutions. But what happened to the old days when the intelligentsia wailed about the oppression of the working class in general? Oh, that's right -- that kind of retro focus from the late 19th and early 20th centuries would out one's true or historical fealties. Association between markers of structural racism and mass shooting events in major US cities
https://www.eurekalert.org/news-releases/995844 INTRO: This study found that major U.S. cities with higher populations of Black individuals are more likely to be affected by mass shooting events, suggesting that structural racism may have a role in their incidence. Public health initiatives aiming to prevent mass shooting events should target factors associated with structural racism to address gun violence. This finding, the authors say, highlights the importance of increasing racial diversity among healthcare providers in order to improve discussions about healthcare among minority populations.
Is evolutionary biology racist?
https://whyevolutionistrue.com/2023/07/1...gy-racist/ INTRO (Jerry Coyne): The first article below is from a creationist website, Creation Evolution Headlines, and its author is a young-earth creationist. Oddly, though, its own headline and its discussion isn’t too far from what some “progressive” evolutionists maintain: evolutionary biology is racist, which explains the paucity of minorities in the field. The first paper, then, is not that different in its theses from the second and third papers below, although both were published in academic journal, Social Psychology in Education and in Evolution: Education and Outreach; and both papers include at least one evolutionary biologist as an author. In both papers religion is mentioned: African Americans are more religious than whites, and that makes them resistant to studying evolution. This may well be true, but I don’t know what to do about it. Here’s one anecdote I’ve told before. I was invited to lecture on evolution to a black “magnet school” (a high school) on Chicago’s South Side. At the end of my talk, a girl stood up and asked me if I was saying that Noah’s Flood and (as I recall) the Garden of Eden didn’t really exist. I had to tell the truth and say, “Yes, that’s what I think.” It caused a ruckus, and I could clearly see that the students became resistant to my message. (After the talk, the principal took me aside and said I really should have mentioned all the innovations that Africans had made, like inventing the airplane.) ......
