Article  Is there a “gay gene"? Both genes and conditions in the womb play a role in sexuality

Lots of occupations out there with higher suicidal rates--cops, dentists, farm workers, factory workers, etc. But that doesn't mean they are mentally ill. There are circumstances in some lives where suicide is a perfectly logical choice.

So you think suicide is never a symptom of mental illness?
You think suicide can be perfectly logical, side from chronic, untreatable pain or diagnosis of degenerative/terminal illness?

Maybe you could give some examples?

Not so much immoral as pathological and indicative of mental illness. There is no concept of sin in science.

Just to circle back on this.

Are you making excuses for pedophiles? If they're just mentally ill, they're not to blame and we shouldn't stigmatize that, right?

Is that what I said? Go back and read what I said. I have no intention of repeating my statements because you misconstrue them.

Rhetorical question.
Then it follows that some, or maybe even all, among mental health professionals could be due to mental illness.
But that's ignoring the higher prevalence of neurosis and depression, with are mental illnesses themselves.

No..being suicidal does not necessarily entail mental illness. But it does often entail depression which could be circumstantial or a disorder.
