It's a Los Angeles aerospace industry surplus store called Norton Sales. Now it does lots of its business with Hollywood studios seeking sci-fi props.
Today both Elon and Peter have lots of cool space stuff of their own (stuff that really works). But I bet that both of them look back fondly on this place.
Both futuristic and retro, all at once!
This is precisely the old LA aesthetic and sensibility that I used to love, off-kilter futuristic, everything from occult bookstores and strange religions, to stores like this. Back in the day LA was the perfect place for mad scientists with plans to either take over the universe or tear apart the space-time continuum.
I can see the influence of this sensibility in Elon's giant interplanetary spaceships that land tail-first like any proper sci-fi spaceship should, in Neuralink's brain/computer interfaces, in the humanoid Teslabots and the self-driving robot cars.
The resemblances are uncanny (especially the vacant-eyed look of the woman). A testament to why smart refrigerators connected to the internet are one of the greatest menaces household privacy has ever faced.
Background environment looks like something procured from the set of MST3K (during breaks). Which, again, is also creepily coincidental in appearance to the lounge room in the building used for Buff Expo 2015 (Sunnydale).

She's fascinated by the Secret of the Universe. Hypnotized by it, thoroughly in its spell, it's servant. Yet she still has compassion for the guy, going through what she must have gone through herself.
The man is a seeker who has always wanted to penetrate the veil of our limited little reality. She was once that herself and now is the one who can open the portal and show him the way, with all of her incomprehensible 1960's sci-fi technology.
