Apparently "'pertahanan awam" would be replaced by an expletive and one dead snake in rural Florida.

"Nonnative reptiles like Burmese pythons can be humanely killed on private lands at any time with landowner permission - no permit required- and the FWC encourages people to capture and humanely kill pythons from private lands whenever possible. There is no bag limit."

I think shotguns can be used now, as long as directed at the head. But python killing competitions apparently don't allow firearms.

Florida: Humane Killing Methods for Nonnative Reptiles

Many methods are available to kill nonnative reptiles. Regardless of the method you use, you must ensure the following two steps are completed to humanely kill a reptile:

Step 1: Your method should result in the animal losing consciousness immediately.

Step 2: You should then destroy the animal's brain by “pithing” which prevents the animal from regaining consciousness.

Giant pythons in Florida?? (Damn, I shoulda known.) It's the jungle there!

Gators are bad enough, but Pythons too???

If they can kill a deer and swallow it whole, they can do it to a person.
