Maybe we’re not quite as sensitive but does this woman exhibit a feeling of foreboding that is similar to what might happen to fleeing animals prior to a life threatening event? She starts running when a minor earth movement takes place and is lucky enough to avoid the major slide that occurs shortly after.

I figure she’s somewhat educated geologically speaking and understands how rockslides happen. IOW educated. If her experience is similar to animal premonitions then does the animal require education in the ways of the world. If so then how would a parent wild animal teach this? I know it could be called instinctive behavior but could it also be some that we believe are, can actually be taught to young animals by parents?

Some inherent tendencies may have to be activated or receive enhanced development by early exposure and parental guidance. For instance, if a child isn't exposed to language during a critical period, they never do get adept at syntax, semantics, and verbal socializing. Landscapes where rock slides are common perhaps invest the applicable sound interpretation to an animal's implicit repertoire, if a species has is indigenous or if a population has abided there long enough to acquire genetic modifications. Association purely learned by experience, if not.
