The objects appeared to come out of or from above a large low hanging fluffy white cloud nearby. They slowly moved across the sky heading south. At one point their speed increased noticeably and in a few seconds disappeared from view. Silently the two identical objects moved in unison, offset from one another. Their course was towards an airport about 5 miles away but at no point we’re they seen to descend. Is there an explanation?

Because they're wider than traditional ones, new hybrid airships can seem flat-like or saucer-like. Some upcoming ones will be deliberately shaped that way, as well as other bizarre designs. Occasionally they'll be painted metallic, rather than white, etc.

Depending on the angle viewed from and their designs, eVTOLs like the BlackFly can appear odd, as well as the Volocopter.

Bottom line is that there are weirdly formed, experimental aircraft and "flying cars" popping up everywhere, and this time these are probably going to hang around as the future norm.

The point is …. The someone who saw this was me. Also my two kids and their friends from a boat on the lake. Never saw anything like it before or since. I really don’t know how skeptical I can be of what I observed. All I can do is report it. I’ll call it a UFO as MR stated and like CC suggests…there’s the possibility of it being man made. Who’s the skeptic, MR, CC, or neither?

If something is identified as a UFO then that’s what it is. Suggesting it might be something else is another POV worth considering even if we don’t like it. Observer vs non-observer, I’ll take that any day. Healthy.

Hi Zinj

I suppose that there had to have been some explanation. But I don't know what it was. A classic UFO in the original "unidentified flying object" sense.

The explanation might have been something mundane (familiar, normal, uninteresting) or it might have been something extraordinary (in the extra-ordinary sense). Extrordinary doesn't have to imply extraterrestrial, just that whatever it was wasn't something ordinarily experienced.

Although dismissing the possibility of extraterrestrial with sarcasm and empty assumptions of intellectual superiority, simply because one doesn't believe in such things, seems intellectually problematic to me.

What's the deal with so few UFO vids from Ontario? Only one (below) I could find, and it dates back to 2014 (the other was facetiously fake; this might be, too). Close-up starts at the 0:55 mark.

EDIT: Ah, here's a more recent one sighted in Aurora: https://youtu.be/v5XPABRSdxk

Only the morning show itself in Canada [Edmonton, Alberta?], not necessarily the UAP ... Fata Morgana candidate? (Depending on where the passenger plane was.)

Haha…we don’t get out much in Ontario. The objects were practically overhead, quite close but I clearly remember the Sun reflecting off one right into our eyes. No cell phone camera in those days yet we came ashore and were quite open about what we all saw. UFO’s in my book. Not claiming extraterrestrial in origin.

CC… Aurora isn’t that far away from where we are during summer. Maybe they’re little machines sent in by our simulator to repair a few pixels. Lol

Have seen UFO’s couple more times. One similar to Aurora sighting when I watched a perfect circle of bright lights exchange positions with one another. Saw that waiting at a bus stop one night. Recently saw a bright object during afternoon hours hurdle at breakneck speed across the sky above my head. Only lasted a couple seconds but it was at the time when some satellites were scheduled to enter atmosphere so maybe it was one. No vapor trail but really moving fast. I figure once the rational explanation is given then it’s time to remove the sighting from UFO file.

Son of a dick! lol

That's the problem with recording these things on smartphones. They appear as dots in the sky. Although these could be mylar balloons..

Just thinking…three moving dots in the sky will invariably form a triangle and maybe even a straight line. A sign of intelligence when viewed from below…lol
