The Galileo Project for the Systematic Scientific Search for Evidence of Extraterrestrial Technological Artifacts

(Yes CC, it's led by Avi Loeb).

I'm pleased to see that Michael Shermer of Skeptic magazine is one of their "affiliates"

Their Scientific Advisory Board has some big names, including Paul Davies, Seth Shostak of the SETI project, Stephen Wolfram of Mathematica fame, and several other prominent astronomers.

Will photos and videos of uaps fall under their purview? Eyewitness accounts? Radar video?

I'm not at liberty to go into any details whatsoever, but will just claim that there for sure exists, currently unrealized, technology guaranteeing 'energy independence' without any practical limit.
Of a compact, easily manufacturable nature, that entirely bypasses all the limited thinking conjecture behind so-called Kardashev Scale:
https://futurism.com/the-kardashev-scale...tion-types

The far distant phew-cha (if there is one) of humanity or AI successors is NOT going to involve absurd schemes to capture stellar output via mega-structures.
Or supposed 'beyond that' extensions that would leave astronomically detectable 'telltale indelible signatures' of 'advanced energy-mega-harvesting', for other ET civilizations to discover. And that will almost certainly apply the other way round - futile for us to expend significant resources searching for such presumed signatures of other ET civilizations. But the search will proceed, at least in the short term.

Only just found out how limited in scope the Galileo Project is. Just out to find and identify 'potential ET artifacts' within our solar system.
So even less hope of picking up anything useful. Tempted to wish them good luck - except funds will be diverted from practical human needs areas. That aint good.

There is already artifacts in existence
so hopefully this will be the formal documentation of those known already.

modern humanity is as ready as they ever will be and time is running out.
