EXCERPTS: Dr Jacques Vallée and Stanford microbiologist Dr Garry Nolan used a Multiplexed Ion Beam Imaging (MIBI) to scan metal debris from alleged UFO crashes dating back to 1947. This powerful technology allows us to peer into the molecular structure of metals and even identify what isotopes are present.

Isotopes are variations of neutrons in an element. [...] The two doctors were likely looking for traces of elements to date the debris through radio decay. This is similar to radiocarbon dating except with elements with far longer half-lives that allow longer dateable ranges such as uranium. But what they found instead was perplexing.

The isotope ratios didn’t match anything produced naturally or by any known manufacturing process. It looked like the metal was an alloy (mix of different metals) of specific isotopes, not just elements. This level of molecular technology could potentially deliver high-performance metals with properties unlike any currently available alloy.

[...] This led Dr Jacques Vallée and Dr Garry Nolan to conclude that the debris could only be produced by alien technology far more advanced than ours. These were precisely manufactured artefacts using technology we don’t possess on Earth. It seems like watertight evidence for aliens and alien UFOs.

So, case closed? Not quite.

Space is full of radiation and powerful magnetic fields that effect metals. If these metal alloys had travelled from another star system we could find the delicate signature of their time in space. [...] If the debris from alleged UFO crash sites had been travelling through space, they must have these telltale signs. However, Dr Jacques Vallée and Dr Garry Nolan failed to find this crucial signature. According to expert chemical engineers, they could have easily found it (if it was present), which means the debris cannot have come from outer space.

So, if this debris is evidence of advanced molecular engineering and hasn’t been to outer space, where could it come from? A top-secret government program? A hidden advanced civilisation like Atlantis? Well, probably not.

A common solution to UFOs is weather balloons. These high altitude instruments look like metallic flying saucers (without the balloon attached) and can travel at insane speeds in the intense winds of the upper atmosphere. They could even explain the bizarre metal alloys found in the crash debris.

[...] We don’t use hyper-advanced molecular engineering to create weather balloons, far from it. These instruments are built on a shoestring and are expected to be lost after their first or second use. So the metal alloys they use are cheap and lightweight.

But, something odd happens in the upper atmosphere. The radiation that does make it through the magnetosphere interacts with the upper atmosphere and causes usual phenomena, such as the Northern Lights and neutron degradation of some elements (such as nitrogen).

This neutron degradation means that the upper atmosphere has far more neutron radiation than down on the ground. If a metal is exposed to this radiation for a prolonged period of time the atoms can absorb the neutrons changing their isotope.

Some of these new isotopes are unstable and radioactively decay. But, for others, the new isotope is stable. This means that the proportions of isotopes present can vary drastically from what we find on terra firma. Suppose a weather balloon had been in the upper atmosphere for years. In that case, its metals could have absorbed enough neutron radiation to change their isotope ratios to match that found in the alleged UFO debris.

So could Dr Jacques Vallée’s and Dr Garry Nolan’s UFO debris just be a load of weather balloon fragments? It is certainly possible. Further research is needed such as comparing their debris to weather balloons that have spent extended periods of time in the upper atmosphere... (MORE - missing details)
