You only say that because you're a bad person.

If you were injured (say) racing jetskis and you haven't advised the insurer and negotiated a premium would you still be fully covered? I'd think an insurer could reasonably class the unvaxxed as reckless and maybe refuse some or even all cover.
If your not insured, you get billed personally.

Quote:From an employer point of view it wouldn't surprise me if the unvaxxed aren't frequently high on list of employees you'd be happy to lose anyway - the vax thing is as much an excuse as a reason.
Except they've cut their own throats and are now short on workers. That overworks their remaining workforce, and very likely contributes to losing more employees.

Doesn't clarify whether or not insurers cover reckless behaviour without prior negotiation.

If there is a high risk of not being paid (not making a profit) then it makes sense to cut supply.

Edit..
It has been suggested that covid patients come with Federal money - which may make them more profitable than the 'normal' patient - tailoring supply to (highest paying) demand is the key to maximising profit from the epidemic.

It would be a new precedent to suddenly call not being vaccinated "reckless behavior," especially when there's no real analog in existing health insurance plans...at least not for leisure activities, like jet-skiing. Trying to compare not being vaxxed to someone who has an inherently high-risk job is not comparable and would open insurers up to class-action law suits.

Emergency rooms are not allowed to deny service...which is why so many illegal aliens use it as their primary healthcare...raising healthcare costs for everyone else. They can get their money out of citizens, even if they have to dock their paychecks.

Yeah, that's called "perverse incentives," where they have a monetary incentive to report anyone "with COV" as being hospitalized "from COV," even if admitted for other reasons, like injury. Federal money to lie about why people are admitted is still lying. If you're okay with that, it tells us plenty about your integrity.

Do you agree with MR, that hospitals should refuse to help anyone who hasn't been vaccinated?
