"It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression."

"Symbolic of his struggle against reality."

Closing remarks that pretty much sum up that endlessly evolving obsession of cultural hegemony, and how the intellectual class[1] promoting its conspiracy orientation must eventually exploit the most fringe population groups and beliefs. (Because those are the only frontiers left for it to expand into.)

- - - footnote - - -

[1] A wannabe ruling class themselves, governing vicariously.

Intellgentsia: To perceive and combat ruling-class cultural hegemony [...the applicable oppressed population groups...] depend upon the moral and political leadership of their native intelligentsia, the scholars, academics, and teachers, scientists, philosophers, administrators et al. from their specific social classes; thus Gramsci's political distinction between the intellectuals of the bourgeoisie and the intellectuals of the [...oppressed population groups...], respectively, the men and women who are the proponents and the opponents of the cultural status quo...

Sadly, our current reality was once the most ludicrous of comedy.

It's only funny when it's farce. Reality being that nonsensical (that many people who struggle against reality) is scary.

Apparently the intellectually stunted have failed to realize that most Biblical stories, like the one cited, don't actually contradict reality. It might contradict your credulity, and that reliance on one's own, biased credulity is exactly the mechanism that leads to one's beliefs actually contradicting reality.

Sure..because everyone knows there are talking snakes in magical fruit trees, there are arks made of wood that can fit every land animal species on earth, and the Red Sea parted to allow safe passage of the Israelites. lol If that's your "reality", you should seriously consider seeing a psychiatrist.
