I'm not a fan of modern day philosophers who feel the need to tear down spiritual beliefs of others or even religious ideas (unless those beliefs are detrimental to others), in order to 'sell' their ideas.
i like renegade thinkers whose ideas seek to subvert the common approach for a phenomena. I don't necessarily agree with everything they say, but I respect and appreciate their ability to think outside the box and so shift the paradigm so to speak.
Agree with you, definitely like thinkers who make me think. I don't like his explanation style I guess. I've read a few things of his about how loss is sacred and while I agreed with the premise, he definitely takes the scenic route to drive home a point. lol
Re: UFO's in general. I think the topic is polarizing because those who claim sightings leap to believing that they must have been alien crafts. They could have been, but without evidence, we can only safely assume that they could be traveling into our air space from anywhere. I'm not sure which chills me more...that aliens may exist or that these UFO sightings have to do with other countries having technology surpassing North America, in ways we couldn't have imagined.
The idea of aliens don't really scare me, but just comparing the two potential scenarios.

Yeah..it's one thing to acknowledge the existence of ufos and it's quite another to claim they are aliens from outer space. We have to be careful not to jump to conclusions. It's hard to hold back and admit we don't know where they're from or who they are, but that's what we have to do to be rational about this. It would not surprise me if they were some other intelligent species living on our planet under the sea, sort of like in the movie "The Abyss".

Speaking of UFO's...did you see that there is a new series out on Showtime? I haven't watched it...but you might like it.

That sounds like a good series, unfortunately I don't have Showtime. Will have to subsist on the meager crumbs thrown to me from The History Channel.

Isn't that the channel that hosts ''Ancient Aliens?'' Shouldn't history be ...factual? ; )
I've watched a partial episode of that about a year or so ago, and stopped when they suggested that Hitler could have been an alien.

Yeah..I never watch Ancient Aliens. Nothing but pure unadulterated New Age and conspiracy theory crap. Yes...even I have certain standards to protect..
