Too much critical thinking otoh can lead a student to question the very system he is supposed to conform to. The unquestioned goal of education and of having a career, of being in love and having a family, of religion and absolutist morality, or of being a model citizen in a capitalistic society. Philosophy starts as candle in the darkness, but it can often lead to a wildfire that devours the elements of one's own cultural matrix. A little truth is good for us, Too much can turn us into anarchal revolutionaries!

"There are no dangerous thoughts; thinking itself is dangerous.”==Hannah Arendt
