The pandemic has created a nation of insomniacs

And as the delta variant continues to spread around the country, that uncertainty and its effects on sleep may not have abated. Some people have just gotten used to disrupted cycles and 3 am anxiety spirals; it’s how life is now. As Jennifer Martin, a clinical psychologist who serves on the board of directors for the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, told Vox, “There are some people who are still experiencing a lot of disruption.”

While there are steps people can take in their own lives to address insomnia, sleep deprivation isn’t just a personal problem; it’s also a social one. And as with so many other problems in the pandemic, real relief will require policy changes — like shorter work hours, better pay, and improved access to health care — to make American life more secure for everyone.

Bullshit. This is just another in the very long list of leftist excuses to grab power and push their partisan agenda. Notice how every policy change is a Democrat agenda item.

If you're an adult and can't manage your own sleeping habits, you're a moron and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near policy decisions that could affect the lives of others. Take responsibility for your own shit.

Whenever I use italics (prior to a link), it means I'm quoting from that article.

That said, I think the article made sense in that the disruption felt by Covid for most everyone, affected people in various ways - sleep being one of them. I did pick up on the ''improved healthcare'' line, and thought that was political spin. It's unfortunate that it's everywhere, these days.

Oh, I know. It wasn't just healthcare though. Shorter work hours and better pay (like $15/hr minimum wage) are Democratic Party platforms.
