Quite apart from the pap absence of content I have a 'view' on this. Having grown up in Man (Manchester) I regard football supporters as thugs who will attack anyone in groups of five or more on the grounds of team, race, religion, sexual orientation or simply random because there are a lot of them and they can do so with impunity. To see this scum of the Earth celebrated in a main BBC headline is one of the low points of my life.
BBC Main Headline:Chelsea beat Man City to win Champions League |
At least it's a more informative headline than the one I saw.
"Chelsea beats Man" had me wondering if somebody had put a brick in the purse this time, rather than being content with a slap. Or instead of a street incident, maybe it was a domestic setting with a two-by-four involved. |
