Reminds me of two old dogs growling at each other on the sidewalk. What a waste of their intellects. Maybe debates ARE better held face to face. If at all. To me debating artificially reduces thought to a matter of mere position-taking. As if a mind can be held to a set of truth propositions separate from itself.

I'm with Sam Harris on this one.

I can't stand Noam Chomsky. He did some very good work in the philosophy of language decades ago, but has turned himself into a caricature of the left-wing intellectual since.
