SpaceX Videos! - Yazata - Jun 25, 2017 If you want to see cool things, go to http://www.spacex.com and snoop around. Lots of amazing things, including live webcasts of launches. There's one scheduled for 1:25 PDT today, Sunday June 25, at Vandenberg AFB in California, a Falcon 9 launching an Iridium communications satellite. Then they will attempt a landing of the booster on a barge in the Pacific. Here's Elon Musk taking you on a detailed tour of his spaceship plant (love the sound of that) everything from reception areas to computer servers to office cubicles to snack bar to machine shop to thermal testing to rocket engine assembly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQ6tZtGrShg Here's the June 19 launch of a Bulgarian geosynchronous satellite from Cape Canaveral and the successful landing of its Falcon 9 booster on a barge in the Atlantic. Apparently this was a reflight of a booster that flew previously. Worked great the second time too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lca_CPZnOZw RE: SpaceX Videos! - Magical Realist - Jun 25, 2017 I'm still waiting for the Space XXX videos.. ![]() ![]() RE: SpaceX Videos! - Yazata - Jun 25, 2017 The Sunday launch just happened, the rocket arose majestically out of coastal fog, the satellites are in a parking orbit awaiting being released from the second stage in about 50 minutes. The Falcon 9 booster was sucessfully recovered on the barge out in the Pacific. (This is starting to get routine.) A sped-up video of the landing from the booster's viewpoint here https://www.instagram.com/p/BVxysOlA04j/?taken-by=elonmusk |
