"A King In New York" - Magical Realist - May 26, 2026 Clip from Charlie Chaplin's 1957 politically satirical comedy starring himself and his own son. The film was banned in America until 1972. https://www.facebook.com/reel/27130418026647040 RE: "A King In New York" - C C - May 27, 2026 Understandably, he had a grudge due to exile. Literally rags to riches. So it's kind of like he spends the latter part of his career apologizing or making amends to the crab culture in the bucket for escaping it or not allowing them to pull him down. |
