G'day Moon! Meet Roo-ver! - Yazata - Dec 6, 2023 The Australian Space Agency plans a small lunar rover as part of the Artemis missions. It proposes to drive around collecting regolith (Moon dirt) and return it to a central analysis device in hopes of extracting oxygen (which is obviously useful for long-term lunar habitation). American rockets will deliver Roo-ver to the Moon and American landers will land it. https://www.space.gov.au/meet-roo-ver RE: G'day Moon! Roo-ver puts new meaning to those famous Moon words …… ‘One giant leap’. A long way from a jolly swagman camped by a billabong….they'll be Waltzing Matilda on the Moon if successful. I imagine Matilda was a popular name entry. |
