I never considered this problem being due to geolocation (at least occasionally). For instance, your video embeds will suddenly work for me when I view them through a proxy or VPN which gives an Ashburn, Virginia IP (and probably other locations).

So when I chose not to embed because it wasn't working for me, it might have still functioned for somebody else. But also vice versa.

Some videos, of course, simply won't embed because the source that submitted _X_ to youtube didn't want that ability to be available for it.

Okay, that makes sense. Earlier, I saw your videos, and mine from the previous page. Now, I don't. If you go back to the first few pages of this thread, some are missing there as well. Not sure if that's a sudden thing, because I wasn't checking. Not a big deal, at least the link remains.

It's the forum changing the links. If I try to use an embed link:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/scZY7VNV-Go

The forum changes it to:
https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/embed

That means that it's substituting "youtube.com" with "youtube-nocookie.com/embed" and trying to remove the "watch?v=" which unintelligently removes the video code from the embed link.

IMO, it's broken on the forum.

Now that I'm back on my usual proxy (rather the one I switched experimentally to last night) the afflicted ones aren't working again. Same when I don't use a proxy or VPN at all. (Just my luck that I chose one for Scivillage that mimics the problem of the latter.)

I may be stuck with posting the covers of these acoustic guitar players and quasi-unknown vocalists, since the bulk of their embeds seem to function (at least for me -- they may be blanks for others).

I’ll just view them from my phone since that seems to bypass the glitch.

Youtube embeds aren't working for me, phone or laptop, any browser.
