I like that there's no time limit for edits

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  Big Grin

Another forum only allows 20 minutes, it's annoying.

It works until someone edits an old post to lie about not saying something. We'll see how long everyone's intellectual honesty holds up this time.

Judging from my experiences with it (because I sometimes try to add something new of the same category a day later), the time limit here is circa 24 hours. Still plenty longer than elsewhere, though.

But, if you quote the member, their unedited post remains forevah. Wink

Oops, I guess there is a time limit. Lol I tend to rush through a first “draft,”’and post too soon, at times. Then upon proofreading, I might want to add or delete some thoughts, at second glance. I’m not sure why other forums are sooo strict with the time limit.

Oh, they'll just claim you altered the quote. It's happened before.

lol This explains editing time limits, I guess.

This is why we can't have nice things.  Rolleyes

I admire some of you who rarely if ever edit. If that feature didn't exist, my total post count on this forum would be sky high. Blush

I'll blame work. I'm working and it distracts me.

Well, that certainly doesn't pertain to me. Every spellcheck feature and language app in the world still doesn't help me catch something before it is posted.

Similar here. Even at home or "off-duty" I'm constantly interrupted or distracted by something or someone in the environment. Later I realize that I have could clarified something better or am just looking at it: "What in the world was I doing there?"

Exactly!

But, it's in those distracted moments however, when thoughts come to mind that we just need to post or they vanish, never to return. When I have more time on my hands,  and less distractions...sometimes, I have nothing to say...er post.  Rolleyes
