Realize that and all kinds of stats. One of my grandkids and my S-I-L have already had COVID. I don’t know how susceptible I am so doing my best to keep it from reaching 100%.

Syne…has COVID become political football? I feel politicians scrambling to grab as many votes as they can by embellishing one side of issue or the other.
COVID was always political in the US. For Democrats, every catastrophe is just an opportunity to push a political agenda.

A new Israeli study shows that natural immunity, from a previous infection, offers more protection against infection (about 6x) than vaccines do. So visiting people who've already had it should be more comforting than worrisome.

So the best way to become immune is by everyone catching Covid? lol That's insane. That's like burning down the house to get rid of mice. I'm sticking with the vaccines.

No, moron. The best way, from the beginning, was to protect those at high risk (through isolation, vaccines, etc.) while letting the bulk of the population develop natural immunity. Since everywhere has gotten hit just as hard, regardless of differences in preventative measures, those measures have done nothing except delay the inevitable. And that delay has damaged the economy.

But since we're here now, you're not only welcomed but encouraged to get the vaccine if you're scared of COVID. And people like me, who were never afraid of COVID, will just develop a more robust immunity that doesn't require a booster shot every six months.

If it were up to me I’d have waited until omicron rolled through but I have a wife who insists I get the shot. So I did without disturbing the peace. From what the guy told me, it’s a half shot of your last dose. I’d swear I had COVID in few months prior to it becoming a NA concern, had all the symptoms for couple months. Took awhile for my taste & sense of smell to return but I never got checked to see if I did have it. Not sure if they can even do that.

Surely other viruses I’ve been vaccinated against have also evolved so why is there no booster for them? Although I seem to recall getting a booster for something when I was younger.
They could check you for the antibodies, if you wanted to know for sure.

Yeah, there was an MMR vaccine booster in the 80s. Apparently measles mutations generally harm its ability to invade cells. So it depends on how quickly a virus can mutate and still be effective. Luckily the trend is for fast mutating viruses to become less lethal, even if they become more infectious.
