I don't know how a thread on "Favo(u)rite youtube videos" can be railroaded into a race debate, however if people want to make such discussions could they at least make a separate thread for it, that way it's easier for people to decide to avoid ignorant prejudices rather than being subjected to a poisoned thread.

White people in Berkeley say voter ID laws are racist and blacks can't get to the DMV or know how to use the internet. Black people in Harlem say those views are ignorant, possibly racist, and that they have no problem with voter ID laws.
