In the clip we see (some of us, at least).. the agent already pointing a gun at the driver when the SUV started to move forwards - and he wasn't in front of the vehicle. Owing to his movements and the geometry of the vehicle he was (possibly) struck by the side of the vehicle - I don't think either he or the driver could have predicted that - it wasn't 'intentional'.

Edit .. I'm not even sure he was struck .. it isn't an important point (she's dead now).. at least one person comments that she tried to ram the agent .. which will doubtless be the preferred version.
Some of you have bad eyesight and vivid imaginations that flout evidence and physics.
Wheel spins on wet, icy street, pointed straight at the officer, and engine revs before truck starts to move. Plenty of reason to alarm the officer, where ONE SECOND has been proven to be the difference between life and death. Doesn't matter if he was actually struck. The threat was clearly perceived.

As I've already said, she likely was fleeing... a felony, in itself. No one could know that within the split seconds they had to react.
He saw her turning the wheel.. We all do. There's no excuse for his rage in that moment. It is reported that a few weeks earlier he got dragged and roadrashed by a car by smashing into its window. Makes sense that he would overreact like he did. But it doesn't excuse it. He tragically ended the life of an innocent mother for no reason. He needs to pay the penalty for that. America is demanding it.

MAGA will see it as one less Leftist Karen. The ICE agent is a hero because, if he had been in a different place, he might have been killed by the advancing SUV. By killing the evil Leftist he saved not only his own life but that of many others. AND . she was fleeing a crime scene .. not to mention any other reasons he might well have had for shooting the bitch.

In fairness Leftist Karens will probably think twice before putting entitlement ahead of self-preservation.

Again, armchair quarterbacks who've never faced life-threatening situations and decide what "should have been seen" after multiple views of slo-mo footage. "We all do" with the luxury of multiple viewings and without any potential for personal risk. If leftists had enough empathy to understand what actually occurred, from the POV of the officer, we could all join together in sympathizing the needless death in this tragedy. But as long as you're howling for blood, you'll keep steeling people against any sympathy for moron leftists performatively violating the law and getting themselves into dangerous situations of their own making.

If you cant spare the empathy, we'll just chalk it up to a Darwin award. And no, moron leftists don't speak for America, hence the last election results.
This is what happens when small-minded people let their politics eclipse their morality. All the MAGA haters like you selling your souls just to score another political point. Like the murder of an innocent woman is nothing at all. She was after all just another "domestic terrorist" attacking ICE agents as Noem said no more than an hour after if happened. Another leftist karen who was asking for it. Don't even try to preach to us about empathy.
No, it's you selling your soul for lack of reason and empathy in a situation you have no analogous experience with. You haven't heard me call it terrorism, but you're happy to lump people together, so long as it means you can keep feeling justified baying for blood from the "other" side. I don't have to preach anything when it's perfectly clear to everyone who has the slightest understanding of high-duress situations. Notice how you've had zero counterarguments to the facts of reaction time, situational awareness, etc.. You can't be bothered because you refuse to even attempt any empathy in a nonpartisan direction.
I have to agree with Syne about the possibility of a Darwin award. ICE couldn't work effectively if people simply ran away when they tried to collect them. ICE need fear to keep control and that fear has to be justified. The men (and women) working for ICE have to know they can do their job without interference from the law - with the result that (whatever the constitution says) we see what we see.

Quibbling about whether or not the ICE agent feared for his life places the burden on the individual agent - in fairness he was doing (and did) what he was employed to do and any burden of guilt or otherwise lies with the employer and (of course) Renee Good for putting both the agent and herself in a situation where she was likely to be killed.

From 'The Trace'
https://www.thetrace.org/2025/12/immigra...s-tracker/

Quote:...Using Gun Violence Archive data and news clips, The Trace has identified 16 incidents in which immigration agents opened fire and another 15 incidents in which agents held someone at gunpoint since the crackdown began. At least three people have been shot observing or documenting immigration raids, and five people have been shot while driving away from traffic stops or evading an enforcement action...

...Renee Good was one of four people who have been killed. Another seven people have been injured...
Maybe I’ve been operating under the wrong pretext all these years. Always thought in a democracy that elected government officials represented their constituents. Win or lose, I more or less accept whomever is elected in the free vote as my voice, my representative. I’m free to disagree with my rep peacefully and within the limits of the law just in case I’m not happy. However, like it or not, the elected are the voice for those who vote. If you don’t vote under a democracy then all the more reason to accept election results, you’re still represented regardless..

Peace officers/corrective measures are govt decisions. They have been, in a roundabout way, placed there by you. You blame the govt but ultimately their voice is yours, take it or leave it. Everybody in the democracy shares responsibility for the decisions despite any personal feelings against. Someone gets killed as a result of govt measures then we all share the blame. Maybe that’s not reality for most, idk.

Law abiding citizens for the most part obey the rules. The rules they accept as having helped create. How often has civil disobedience had happy endings? Keep supporting lawbreaking and expecting a different result is probably going to get you closer to winning a Darwin Award than anything else.

Figure I’m out of touch with reality on this subject. Big Grin

How often have revolutions overturned tyrannical regimes in history? Or resulted in the repeal of immoral policies like slavery or racism or persecution or wars? Would the democracy of America even exist today without people breaking laws to initiate change? Did they teach you ANY history in your school days?

Survival of the scaredest? Not exactly the modus operandi of Mother Nature. Ever try to grab a cornered rabbit? They'll growl and bite fiercely when it comes down to it!
