Hm. The metaphorical (and even literal) response to an epidemic is to shut it out and/or pretend it isn't happening. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Looking at Kirks podcasts, to be honest he came across as a sociopathic asshole, getting off on demeaning people in front of his collective fan club (which happened to have MAGA supporters) That being said it didn't mean he should of been killed, just taken down a notch or two through decent debate countering.

Shooting Kirk means he will always be remembered as an asshole to those he wound up. Kirk will never be able to reconciliate and those that felt undermined by him will never have the chance for an apology from him in the future (thats been stolen)

As for political mantras as to who to blame.

But Tyler himself pretty clearly wasn't. He was anything but. So he might have felt quite alienated and alone in that place.

Which makes me think that maybe all this was his adolescent rebellion phase, where he rejects his parents and everything they stand for in the name of... what? One's personal opinion choice with respect to evaluating MAGA doesn't even matter in the origin context of the nomenclature that Tyler uses. A person picks up the viewpoint and rhetoric about MAGA and its supporting public figures being fascists, Nazis, "spreading hate", etc from the same sources as those repeating those political-language mantras in response to Kirk's assassination (across the Bluesky and other platforms spectrum):

The kid's background may or may not have contributed to him being a ticking time bomb and a suitable recruit for a variety of ghastly endeavors, but which direction he exploded was an "external to the family" influence, since murder wasn't in alignment with their values (and the outrage was directed against the populist right, not the other political side).

If you don't understand how calling a man a "sociopath asshole" makes it sound like you identify more with his murder, you're seriously out of touch with reality.

Multiple reports are circulating that accused Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson was living with a roommate and that the two of them may have had a "romantic relationship". The roommate turns out to be a male to "female" transsexual. This individual claims to have had no idea that Tyler was going to shoot anyone and is said to be cooperating with police.
